Great Leaders
The African descents should know that African descents had great leaders such as Menelik I, Menelik II, Opoku Ware, Osei Tutu and Mansa Musa to mention but a few. We have not talked about the Ethiopian Eunuch, Queen of Sheba and so many others even Moses’ wife. Mansa Musa of the ancient Mali Empire was very rich and generous. He travelled to the Maghreb and as a result of his open-handed generosity gave out many gifts in gold than he travelled with that he had to borrow to get back to Mali. This amount in gold was returned promptly as soon as he got back to Mali. His open handed generosity was second to none. African Empires operated feudal system of government. The African descents should know that the story of slave trade depends on who told it. The truth is that because the Europeans had greater fire power in terms of weaponry they were able to defeat and subdue the African people, some African people preferred to jump into the ocean never to surface any more than be taken as slaves.
Ethiopia
Teach the African descents to know that Ethiopia was never colonized. It was at one time called Abyssinia. The African descents should be made aware of the fact that the Ark of Covenant is said to be housed in Ethiopia. Ethiopia has her own calendar. Teach the African descents to know that Ethiopia at the time called Abyssinia defeated Italy in the battle of Adowa in 1890s.
Teach the African descents to know that there has been no part of the world that a building has been erected starting from top to bottom but in Ethiopia in Africa. The conventional way of building is to build from bottom up.
Nigeria
The African descents should be made aware of the fact that the fault of under achievement is in the under achiever and not in anyone else. The African descents ought to know that during the Nigerian civil war that those who fought on the Biafran side were able to make their own munitions.
God’s love
Inform the African descents that God loves them so much that He gave to them so much mineral and human resources as a result they are so spoilt that they do not think of improving on what they have as heritage. The African descents have brain but have allowed the West to fool them by calling them ‘third world’ or developing people. This makes the African descents lazy. The more God gave to the African descents the lazier they became. Bearing this in mind the African descents are prone to blame God for any misfortune forgetting all that God had endowed them with.
Discoveries and research
Teach the African descents to know that the ruck sack was first developed in Africa; that the African descents had and have herbalists who treat ailments with herbs. It is the same herbs the African descents use to treat that the West or so developed in to the medications that are being used for treatment of the same ailments. The Chinese have similar ways of treating diseases as the African descents but it appears as if those of the Chinese are now being recognized and accepted than those of the African descents. The African descents should know that the leaves of the plant Marijuana are very effective in treating many ailment but the big manufacturers of medications have called it illegal to protect their trade.
It is important to inform the African descents that the Gin distilled in Africa is called ‘illicit’ while Russian vodka and rum from the Caribbean both of the same quality with that of the African people are more acceptable. This is a plot to kill the African descents’ trade and their research procedure or method. There is nothing crude about the African descents’ style of doing things.
If I had not visited China after I visited U.S.A., Canada, Brazil and many countries in Europe I would have gone with the West’s criticism of China that it is underdeveloped. Their products are condemned but the West is the largest trading partners to China. African descents awake! Don’t let them fool you; you should be at the prime of civilization and invention.
Martyrs
Teach them to know that with the African traditional religion there is the fear of doing evil as one would be caught and punished by the god of the land. They should be made aware of the Martyrs of Uganda.
Teach the African descents to know that they allowed all their inventions to be stolen and reported by those who stole them as their own inventions.
Bearing the above in mind it is important to know that you are what you want to be. Be not afraid and be not deceived by anyone, God created all humankind equal. Rise up from your slumber.
Often times the African descents have been led to believe that they are a developing people; in fact they have in the past been described in a derogatory term as ‘Third World’. And that they are second or third to the East and West. Is this picture being painted of African descents true? The African descents should bear in mind that the first university in the world was in Timbuktu in Mali in Africa. It is important for the African descents to know that writing began in Egypt also in Africa. Equally noteworthy is that the science of embalming began in Egypt in African. The West and the world have been researching the secret of their ability to embalm the young Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamen that made it possible for the corpse to remain intact after over 3,200 years of having been buried.
Charles Darwin and Discovery of America
The African descents should be made aware that they have rich cultural and religious heritage which should be restored and preserved. The African descents should be made aware of the fact that Charles Darwin studied under an African descent, a freed slave named John Edmonstone. John Edmonstone came to Scotland in 1822 and taught taxidermy to students of Edinburgh University of which Charles Darwin was one. The African descents should be made aware that the same John Edmonstone gave Charles Darwin inspiring accounts of the tropical rain forests in South America. The African descents should know that the taxidermy Charles Darwin learnt from John Edmonstone helped him a lot. It is vital for the African descents to be made aware of the fact that the African descents were the first to discover the American Continent and even Australia. This was before Christopher Columbus and the slave trade. The African descents should be taught to know that an African descent played a role in putting together the Quran. The African descents should be made aware that the instructions as contained in the book of Number in the Holy Bible are practised in the remotest parts of African communities, such as the one I come from (Aboh) that have not known of or had access to the Holy Bible only recently. This shows how close God is to the African descents.
African descents, it is time you rise from your slumber. Do not in the words of Bob Marley, “Let them Fool you.” You have a mind of your own and when you do things your own way you will get back to the glory you were
