MAY 2015
EVRY SDA CHURCH

My mission took me to Évry, a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, France, on the request of a church member who heard me at Cinedelphie and wanted his church to benefit from my lectures. So, it happened. Close to a hundred participants had booked their seats.

Nothing was missing: the welcome from the pastoral team and the church members' warmth, the appetizing refreshments, the professional audiovisual team, the fervent and attentive audience, the relevance and variety of the questions, the beauty of the premises, the dynamic photographer.

The high point of the evening was the testimony of Josiane, a French afro-Caribbean woman present at the Cinedelphie conferences, whom I had invited, declaring having taken the Senegalese nationality, beside having started a project in Africa.

This time, I had a sixth evening to fully introduce the organisation's mission, objectives and programmes founded on the lectures. Plans were put in place to start a French branch of The African Descent International Diaspora alongside businesses suggestions. A dvd is also in the making.

I cannot omit to mention the numerous hands that were raised in response to God's healing in  the participants' lives.

Now, who is the church member who hosted the event? Elder Guy Assogba. He is the one who heard me at Cinedelphie.

“Michelle, thank you for this week! For me, it was a real revelation about my origin and my destiny. Now I am free. God bless you!”

"This (your seminar) has endorsed my project to create a company to glorify God. Michelle, thank you!"

“Thank you for these series of conferences and I thank God for this privilege, it brought me a lot and gave me a positive momentum to be more creative and positive and feel confident. Thank you!”

THE BIBLICAL HISTORY OF THE BLACK PEOPLE AND THEIR DESTINY

Cinedelphie, a Seventh-day adventist association based in Paris, France, headed by Patrick Pecome, hosted the conferences in a purpose built conference centre. This time the theme carried the definitive title of 'The Biblical history of the Black People and their destiny' promising to attract church members in droves as publicity went round the Paris churches and invitations were sent out. In spite of a spiritual retreat happening round about the same time jeopardising attendance, those who came were enthusiastic participants who failed not to relay the information to their friends who increased the turnout. One such young man came on the last night not deterred by having to pay the same price as those present from the first day.

De-li-cious veggan buffets were served by a gracious team to those coming straight from work.

The quality of the presentations were highly praised whilst hope regained permeated every listeners' face as they discerned God's plan. One attendee mentioned at the end of the seminar that he had never slept so well than since I spoke from Saturday evening.

Some suggestions were made such as making available a list of books to read and a dvd. My regret, besides that of the listeners, was to have had not a 6th evening for introducing the organisation.

Two of my sisters who came to support my endeavours were able to hear and see the exhultation. Is not the place where the conferences were delivered called 'La Maison de l'Espérance (The House of Hope)?
